High House Farm Brewery is an exciting and unique day out for the whole family. We are on a 200 acre working farm, just
situated half a mile from the historic Hadrians Wall with rolling fields, streams and woodland.
The Grade II listed farm buildings house our welcoming restaurant and tea rooms. We have a reputation for delicious homemade
dishes, including fresh scones, cakes, soups, main meals and light snacks, all made with local produce. Please see our
menus here
Children are very welcome to our brewery and visitor centre. We have a nappy changing unit and our childrens menu offers
home cooked balanced meals, including our very popular Five a day toddler plate, and mini frothed milk with chocolate
drops! We will have a new outdoor play area from April 2011
Visitors can see our malt loft and short exhibition about the process of brewing and history of the farm.
Brewery tours can be pre booked for 5.00 per person, with a 40 minute tour of our micro-brewery plus a tutored tasting of
our ales at our fully stocked bar.
You can buy our bottled beers and polypins directly from our small brewery shop, which also sells High House Farm Brewery
sweets and toiletries plus other gifts and cards.
We are now licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies!
We have plenty of experience in hosting private or corporate events during the day or
evening
We are a working farm, and have developed a beautiful 3 mile walk through our fields and woodland, which is suitable for all
ages. The farm walk is suitable for children (although not for buggies).
Check out our events page for the latest news.
We have full disabled access to all areas of our brewery and visitor centre with a platform lift big enough for most
wheelchairs. We also have disabled toilets and plenty of disabled parking.
